Sometimes the most important preservation work is the least noticeable.
These before, during, and after photos document the successful recently completed restoration of the historic windows in the Taft Dining Room, made possible through a grant from the Historic Preservation Foundation.
While the historic woodwork, decorative ironwork, and window treatments remain unchanged, the aging glass has been carefully replaced, improving clarity, energy efficiency, and long-term preservation while maintaining the character of this beautiful space.
Preservation is about balancing history with stewardship-ensuring that the architectural features that define the University Club continue to serve members for generations to come.
